It is the collection of the marine painter Hendrik Willem Mesdag (1831-1915) and his wife, the artist Sientje van Houten (1834-1909). www.kmm.nl: The website of the Kröller-Müller Museum, which houses the second largest collection of works of art by Van Gogh. It also has information on opening hours, accessibility, entrance fees and temporary exhibitions. www.vggallery.com: An extensive site with a lot of visual material on virtually all of Van Gogh's paintings and drawings from collections all over the world. Created by a Van Gogh lover. www.musee-orsay.fr: The official website of one of the most important European museums of the 19th century, the Musée d´Orsay in Paris. www.maisondevangogh.fr Official site of the Ravoux Inn (Auberge Ravoux) in Auvers-sur-Oise, the last home of Vincent van Gogh. The house of Van Gogh as it is now called, pays tribute to the artist and it maintains the same spirit and decor as van Gogh’s days. www.nationalgallery.org.uk The website of The National Gallery in London, a museum with an extensive collection of 19th-century art. www.kisho.co.jp: The website of Kisho Kurokawa, the architect of the Van Gogh Museum's exhibition wing, which was opened in 1999. Algumas imagens e momentos são inesquecíveis. Algumas obras de arte, daquelas que fazem você nunca querer sair de dentro de um museu, têm um encanto especial. Van Gogh, meu pintor preferido, já me fez entrar em filas enormes e ficar prostrado, inerte, diante de um dos seus quadros (que está entre as figuras abaixo).
Não importa o frio, a distância ou a solidão de uma viagem. Um olhar para uma dessas imagens muda tudo, revigora e ainda faz querer repetir tudo novamente.
Van Gogh morreu pobre, louco, sem orelha e com nenhum quadro vendido. Mais uma prova da arrogância e ignorância das pessoas.
Podem parecer imagens simples, mas, garanto, as fotos não fazem jus a beleza dos quadros.
